We are in dire need of volunteer blood donor ambassadors, disaster team members, community volunteer leaders, people to transport blood, among many other volunteer positions. We also need blood donors as we have a severe shortage.
I would like the opportunity to come speak to your employees, members, or any groups you are associated with, about Red Cross volunteer opportunities and why volunteer. I have time in January. I have a short power point presentation or can just speak to our needs and answer questions. Volunteers carry out 90% of the humanitarian work of the Red Cross. See below our Volunteer needs:
• Greet, check in and thank blood donors at blood drives.
• Respond to local disasters, most commonly home fires, to help with immediate needs.
• Deploy to large scale disasters such as hurricanes and wildfires to provide shelter support.
• Provide support to military members, veterans and their families.

Safety First! Our need for volunteers is constant and our guidelines reflect the latest CDC safety recommendations and follow the national and local government laws. COVID-19 vaccination will be required for in-person volunteer roles beginning January 3, 2022.
