Join our volunteer team for the Bay Area Book Festival, May 7 and 8 in downtown Berkeley!
We're planning an AMAZING festival and have lined up some big names and super special authors/presenters!
It will be a fabulous weekend of literature and fun, and we’ll have COVID protocols in place to ensure that we keep our attendees, staff, authors and volunteers safe and healthy.
Volunteer jobs include: helping at the indoor venues with ticket lines, supporting the author talks, at the author gala Friday night, and managing the theaters and the outdoor fair and stages. We also have volunteers helping in the Red Room (Production HQ) checking in/out volunteers, in the Green Room for hospitality, as street ambassadors, at the information and merchandise booths, and on our podcasting and tech crews.
If you take a volunteer shift, you'll be able to attend the rest of the Festival free!
We always appreciate volunteers who are flexible and willing to do whatever is needed, and if possible, those who sign up for a shift for both days.
