We are looking for Volunteers who can teach English language to children in government schools and organizations. As we all know ‘children are future of the nation’. Future Nepal has supported some schools and children resource Center. The children range from 8 to 16 years old. Each class typically include 15-25 student. The teaching curriculum for each major subject is based on the students’ standard book. But volunteers are also encouraged to create their own lesson plans. Depending on the subject, volunteers should bring along teaching materials such as picture books, instruments, flash cards, art supplies, and songs. Our Resource Center created to provide a library & reading materials and English language programs to members of the local groups.

Training
Upon Volunteers arrival in Kathmandu we offer 2 days orientation and training at Future Nepal office. These training help volunteers to understand our organization, various programs and opportunities, country, Nepali language and culture, safety measures, visa issues, dos and don’ts, etc. During the orientation and training period in Kathmandu, we organize the sightseeing around the Kathmandu Valley 1 hours every day.

Placement
Volunteers can work in a naturally  beautiful hilly region villages in different part of Nepal while exploring the culture surrounding. You can experience wonderful views of Himalayan peaks as well as beautiful waterfalls, landscape, flora, fauna etc. We mostly focus very backward and poor community. The ethnic of the villages are gurung, magar, tamang, newar, braman. Volunteers will be placed will be placed with a typically family. There are small community schools with limited and basic supplies. You can teach english children to school. You can also teach other subjects depend on your interest and area of experties like math, science, games, song, dance, sports etc. You are highly appreciated to bring some suppliers for school. You will have great opportunities there to experience thei culture, tradition, religion and way of living.
