Role Overview:
Sawa World seeks a volunteer to develop and execute strategies to raise funds, organize activities, research grants, and engage donors. The role also includes preparing an annual fundraising report. Time commitment is 3-5 hours per week.

About Sawa World:
Sawa World empowers marginalized youth by teaching them to start micro-businesses using locally-created solutions. Their vibrant team in Uganda, supported by staff and volunteers in Canada and globally, provides large-scale access to these solutions.

Main Duties:

Develop and execute fundraising plans
Manage fundraising events and campaigns
Research and draft grant proposals
Connect with potential donors and sponsors
Track and report on fundraising progress
Qualifications:

Passion for Sawa World’s mission
5+ years in a similar role
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
