Activities Involved:

Volunteers provide support and information to individuals via Sendero’s 24-Hour Support Line.
The role involves assisting those impacted by sexual violence, domestic violence, mental health challenges, isolation, and loneliness.
Volunteers offer support, information, and referrals for both emergency and historical situations.
Shifts are available during the following times: 12am-8am, 8am-4pm, and 4pm-12am.

Requirements:

Applicants must be 18 years of age with a clean criminal record check.
Compassionate, reliable, and supportive individuals are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must reside in Canada.

Details & Skills Required:

This is a fully remote role, allowing volunteers to work from the comfort of their home.
Flexible schedules require 8-24 hours of commitment per month for a minimum of 6 months.
Training is provided virtually through self-paced modules, with mock calls available upon request.
No formal certification is required, but experience in social work or psychology is considered an asset.
