Job Description
As a Database Architect / Modeler on the Database Team, you’ll play a crucial role in designing and structuring the 65square database to support this innovative social media platform. You’ll work closely with a team of developers, distributing the workload to ensure efficient progress and effective solutions. This volunteer role offers a unique opportunity to shape the backend of a platform that could redefine social media safety.
While this position is currently volunteer-based, there is potential for it to transition into a paid role as the project advances.
Responsibilities
Develop and design the database structure, building from UI designs to ensure functionality and scalability.
Work alongside a team of four database developers to distribute tasks and optimize workflow.
Create efficient database models that support the unique features of 65square, including age and identity verification.
Identify and troubleshoot potential issues within the database structure, ensuring reliability and security.
Maintain thorough documentation of database designs, models, and workflows to support ongoing development.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a database architect, modeler, or similar role.
Skilled in creating complex database models, with a strong understanding of relational databases.
Able to work effectively with a remote development team, sharing tasks and insights.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
Interest in contributing to a project aimed at protecting children and vulnerable individuals online.
