Volunteer Opportunity with the Canadian Poverty Institute
The Canadian Poverty Institute at Ambrose University is looking for passionate and qualified individuals to join its National Advisory Committee. This is an opportunity to support an organization dedicated to addressing the root causes of poverty in Canada.
About the Role:
The National Advisory Committee plays a key role in shaping the Institute’s priorities in teaching, research, and practice. Members will:
- Identify and prioritize emerging and critical issues for research, policy, and action
- Provide advice and feedback on the Institute’s activities
- Support the Institute’s fundraising and sustainability efforts
- Promote and champion the Institute’s mission
Who They’re Looking For:
The Canadian Poverty Institute is especially seeking individuals with lived experience of poverty or those representing organizations working with equity-deserving communities or critical poverty-related issues.
Details:
Commitment: Virtual meetings 3–4 times per year
Term: Three years, with the possibility of renewal
Location: Remote
The Canadian Poverty Institute is specifically seeking expressions of interest from those with a lived experience in, or represent an organization that works with and has experience in equity deserving communities or critical issue related to poverty.
