Join the Fight Against Ovarian Cancer – Volunteer for the Walk of Hope
The Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope is the largest event of its kind in the country, dedicated to raising awareness and funds to improve outcomes for those affected by ovarian cancer. Since its inception, the event has raised over $34 million, supporting innovative research, advocacy efforts, and crucial resources for patients and families.
Ovarian Cancer Canada is currently seeking Committee Members for its Walk of Hope events across Canada.
Volunteers will play a vital role in planning and executing a successful fundraiser, contributing their skills in areas such as entertainment, logistics, registration, finance, and general event support.
Volunteer Roles Available:
- Entertainment Lead: Coordinate event entertainment and ensure an engaging atmosphere.
- Food & Beverage Lead: Manage catering and food vendors while ensuring safety standards.
- Logistics Lead: Oversee event setup, layout, and equipment for a smooth experience.
- Registration & Finance Lead: Manage participant sign-ups, track donations, and handle transactions.
- General Committee Member: Assist in various event planning and execution tasks as needed.
Time Commitment:
* Monthly virtual meetings (February – June)
* Bi-weekly virtual meetings (July – Walk Day)
* Local committee meetings (determined by the Chair)
* On-site support on September 7, 2025
