Volunteer Opportunity: Grant Administrator – Teach to Grow Canada Foundation
Teach to Grow Canada Foundation is seeking a dedicated volunteer Grant Administrator to support its local and international programs by identifying and securing funding opportunities. This role provides an opportunity to develop valuable skills, contribute to meaningful projects, and gain hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and share federal, provincial, local, and private grant opportunities
Write, edit, and submit proposals and applications to potential funders
Track grant applications and maintain accurate records
Ensure compliance with funding requirements and respond to inquiries
Continuously improve grant application processes
Develop technical documents, forms, and standardized grant proposals
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Excellent technical writing, editing, and research skills
Familiarity with government and academic funding opportunities
Strong English communication skills (written and oral)
Understanding of Canadian funding mechanisms (with potential international expansion)
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and contracts
Grant writing experience preferred
Commitment:
Minimum 4 to 6 hours per week for at least 3 months
Remote opportunity with a flexible schedule
