Description
Goal and Mission:
Our project aims to provide free, ongoing mental health support groups to help anyone in the community learn safe coping skills.

The groups will use the Seeking Safety model, which is an evidence-based coping skills model that has been implemented for over 35 years in the US and internationally. It is a safe and effective method that focuses on compassionate support and practical skills. Learn more about the Seeking Safety model ate www.seekingsafety.org. The model was originally designed for trauma and addiction, but has also been used widely for mental health issues.

Please note this is an unpaid position.

Why Volunteer with Us? We are committed to making sure our volunteers have a fulfilling experience. We’re mission-driven and hope you are too!

This is a fully remote opportunity, so you can volunteer from anywhere
As a volunteer, there is a possibility to advance into a peer leader role in the future, if desired.
How You Can Contribute:
Encourage people to participate in the project
Check participant eligibility and screening
Review participant information
Reach out to participants to support them in completing forms
Remind about group sessions and assist with communications
